Here’s what our puppy buyers have to say:
How lucky I was to have found Aligngriffs! This griff journey has been infinitely more rewarding by being made to feel part of a family, and being able to share experiences as they grow. Colleen cares passionately about her dogs and this care extends to all the owners, offering advice and support whenever asked. I think she probably knows my dog better than I will ever know her and it is great to feel she will always be there to help if needed. Very special dogs from very special people!

We live in the US. Colleen contacted us 2 years ago about our Korthals and the pedigree. We talked and both took a chance on trusting each other. We would export a Male pup (Hank) to her and she would send a female (Darby) to us. We were in love with her from the start and have made her a AKC Grand Champion and got a National and International title on Darby. I can't say enough about her. Colleen then did a breeding of Hank with Jem, and we contacted Colleen about getting another. We now have Aligngriffs Eton. She is a sweetie. We plan on showing her in AKC shows as soon as she is old enough. Colleen has been a mass of information for Korthals. She is hands on and always helpful. We did get to meet up when she was in Ohio last year. Arthur and Colleen are the best and true to their word. Their Korthals are remarkable.

Six or so years ago, I met Colleen and her working dog at our local shoot. Although I wasn't familiar with the breed, I just fell in love with Maggie the Korthals Griffon. Now, I'm proud to say that we own one of Maggie's pups. The care and passion that Colleen and Arthur put into their dogs and their breeding is evident in the quality of the pups that Aligngriffs produce. Our girl Red is a delight. She's a brilliant worker in the field and yet a loving, biddable part of the family at home. Colleen and Arthur remain a good friends and it's a pleasure to be a part of the Aligngriffs family.

Colleen is passionate about her dogs and provides each litter with most phenomenal care and attention. She is brilliant at keeping her buyers in touch with progress all the way through and provides a well oiled platform to connect with previous litter owners to network and share information and training tips. We have had a second to none service.

We couldn't be more thankful to be a part of the Aligngriffs family. The Porters' dedication to this phenomenal breed is second-to-none and their commitment to supporting and nurturing all their Griff families is outstanding. Advice, guidance and support are readily accessible; always available and given informatively. We are proud to belong to this fabulous, loving and inspiring family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Testimonial: Fyga Parker-Baines As a breed we were not familiar with Korthals Griffons until a chance meeting with one last summer triggered our interest. We had lost our beloved 15year old German Pointer to old age and wanted to bring another dog into the family. Researching the breed online I looked at many sites and realised from the genuine remit on their professional and informative website that the Aligngriffs Korthals Griffon organisation based in Cheshire were the people to contact. As breeders, Colleen and Art Porter are clearly devoted to the protection and welfare of these unique dogs and are highly respected for their ethics and achievements in promoting a way of life for this breed the Uk. On a personal level, we cannot thank Colleen and Art Porter for welcoming us into the Aligngriffs family. Our beautiful puppy, Miss Figgy has changed our lives. She has the most wonderful temperament and is adored by everyone she meets. From the moment we brought her home at 9 weeks she had already been introduced to the notion of doing her business outside and training her to respond to basic and more complex commands was very quick and successful as our griff has proved to be an extremely bright, responsive girl. Without a doubt, our experience as new owners of a Korthals puppy has been superb thanks to the incredible support of Colleen and Art Porter and the extended Aligngriff family. The Porters knowledge, expertise and total love for this breed of gun dog is exemplary. They readily share information and give continued advice to all owners and actively encourage dialogue between all parties. We not only have a puppy we love beyond measure but a whole new family of friends and puppies who we can’t wait to meet up with again soon. Korthals Griffons are an exceptional breed of dog and Colleen and Art are exceptional breeders. Not only do we applaud them for their expertise but also recommend them unreservedly. Ownership of one of their puppies is a privilege and not bestowed without considered vetting and approval. Thankfully, we passed muster and now spend hours every day out in the fresh air (in all weathers) walking and exercising Figgy as she explores the natural world, searching for critters and scents in the undergrowth or racing back and forth answering to whistles or commands. As owners we feel both proud and blessed.

Four years ago our family had a day out at Crufts, we'd never been before and it was something we had always wanted to do. There was another reason too, to finally meet a Korthals Griffon, a breed that we had been researching for some time. At the Discover Dogs stall for the KG we met Colleen for the first time along with Ben and Kirsty, and not forgetting Maggie, Jem and I think Scout. So began the questions we wanted to ask and questions were asked of us too, We were invited to a training day, at Colls, to see the Griffs in action with another lady, Carol Ptak, a lady with as much knowledge and experience with the Griff as Coll. The day was great, we were welcomed into the family home as though we were part of it, the people who were training their dogs were just as welcoming too. The training opened our eyes to what the Griffs purpose was, a versatile gundog with a multitude of skills that the correct breeding is able to bring to the fore. We saw the Griffs at heel, retrieving, quartering the land to the wind and pointing and flushing the birds put down. It was a fantastic day and when we left Coll said something that I've not forgotten " These dogs will change your life".Later that year we collected our first Griff from Aligngriffs, Meg, from B litter, 3 1/2 years after that, we collected our 2nd Griff, Wren, from F litter. Coll was right, they do change your life, I now work both dogs, Meg with rough shooting, beating and vermin control, and Wren is being trained for deer tracking and recovery as I now stalk deer too. We also attend Country and Heritage shows, to tell the wider public about our dogs and what they can do, as the KGA, an association that was set up by like minded owners of the KG, to spread the word about the breed and its role as a HPR breed. Coll was right, the KG does change your life but it was the lady who handed me our first pup that really changed it.

I chose to buy a puppy from Aligngriffs as it was important to me to have the best chance of having a happy and healthy dog that would be capable of a long working career in whatever sport I chose to do. Colleen and Arthur are conscientious breeders that are dedicated to breeding true Korthals that not only have the natural working ability but are loyal family members too.Chip came to me at 9 weeks full of confidence after his most amazing start in life with the very best nurturing and early training that I could possibly wish for. It is an absolute pleasure to be part of their extended Griff family and I would not consider going to anyone else for my next Griff!, Thanks Colleen, from the bottom of my heart. Chip is just the best dog I have ever owned. Jenni Webber ( Chip D Litter)
Having decided that a Griff might be just the dog I was looking for, and having been charmed by the lovely Bert B Litter , I contacted Colleen. I was very pleased to have found myself questioned (virtually grilled!) and knew instantly that Colleen had her puppies' best interest at heart and that I was talking to a very passionate supporter of the breed. I was, therefore, thrilled to be approved and to be given the wonder that is 'Ethel'. I cannot imagine any other breeder giving their puppies more of the best start - they had more toys, supervision and stimulation than the average nursery! This all results in puppies that are so well adjusted and a joy to be with. I for one am totally in love with the breed and am so pleased to be a part of the Aligngriff family. Thank you Colleen.
